Focus on Coincidences

In my upcoming book, I recount several remarkable coincidences which occurred during the writing process. I won't divulge details here, so if you're intrigued, you'll just have to wait for the book to be published!

However, as these events are related to my grandfather, I instantly wondered what he would make of them. He passed in 1996 so I couldn't ask him. Then I remembered he'd sent me a letter about this very topic while I was at university. Is that also a coincidence? Perhaps.

We tend to react at the astonishing fact of a ‘coincidence’. But surely what would be really remarkable would be if – considering the millions and millions of possible combinations of events – if there were NEVER any such coincidences.

So, there it is! Coincidences do occur and since we're all inextricably connected, I shouldn't really be too surprised when they do happen. Yet, I still find myself marvelling when the universe works in such mysterious ways.
